Pottstown Memorial Medical Center to Host Wine, Women & Wellness Event

Pottstown, PA- March, 2015 — Pottstown Memorial Medical Center will host a women’s program event entitled Wine, Women, & Wellness on Thursday, May 14 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at PMMC’s Hospital Campus Tent, 1600 E. High Street. Registration, networking and a complimentary wine tasting will held from 5:00 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.; the event will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are priced at $25 per person. Ticket pricing includes: gourmet light bites catered by Bause Catering and dessert by Full-Spirited Flavours; complimentary wine tasting from local wineries: A’dello Vineyard and Winery, Stone Barn Cellars Winery, and Maple Springs Vineyard; and drawings for door prizes.

This year’s event will feature a special video presentation from Kristy Melton – a cancer survivor, research immunologist, and renowned Napa Valley wine maker. Kristy Melton will present “Can a Glass a Day Keep the Doctor Away” and will examine the effects certain compounds found in wine, in moderation, have on the immune system. In addition, key note speaker: Marta Jimenez, M.D. will present “What Healthy Women Need to Know About Stroke” and will answer frequently asked questions pertaining to stroke.

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with partners, who will include: Foot & Ankle Health Group PC, Frederick Living, Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC, Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation, Professional Pharmacy, Shear to Please Salon and Women’s Healthcare of Pa.
