Visiting Policies & Hours

We welcome patients' friends and family.

Come on in.

We believe that having loved ones nearby lifts spirits, brightens moods and improves healing. However, everyone's safety, there are a few things to consider when coming by to say hello.

Visiting Hours

5th Floor, 6th Floor and Progressive Care Unit

  • 11 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
  • No children under age 12 permitted.


  • 7:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Parents and grandparents may visit 24 hours, unrestricted.
  • Siblings must be at least 18 months old.
  • Any child visiting must have received the chicken pox vaccine.

Orthopedics – 4th Floor

  • Patients can have visitors at any time, depending on their wishes and needs, however, no children under the age of 12 are permitted to visit.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

  • Immediate family only can visit at any time; limited to two visitors in the room.
  • No children under age 12 permitted.

Center for Behavioral Medicine

  • Monday – Friday: 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.; 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
  • Children under 12 are only permitted between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. and must be accompanied by an adult (not including the patient). Visitation for children less than 18 years of age will occur in the consultation room and a staff member will be in attendance in order to assure a safe environment.


  • Visiting is restricted to two visitors per patient at a time.
  • Please wash your hands often while visiting our facility, as well as after your visit. It prevents the spread of germs that can cause infection.
  • If you've got a fever, cold or any infection symptoms, please stay home.
  • Pottstown Hospital is a tobacco-free campus. No smoking is allowed anywhere on the grounds.
  • Please don't bring patients food or candies unless his/her attending doctor gives permission.
  • Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to visit, except as noted.
  • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Exceptions to our visiting policies will be determined by the nursing staff.
