At Pottstown Hospital, we offer behavioral health services designed to treat emotional and psychiatric conditions. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment to enable individuals to learn how to cope with the problems and pressures they face.

Pottstown Hospital has a very clear goal: to help people live healthier lives. That means we treat the whole person, and deal with issue of mental health with the same level of attention as physical health. Our behavioral health staff look closely at what's going on in your life to determine your mental state and come up with treatments that relive emotional stress and pain. We all have bad days, but when those bad days begin to outnumber the good, our mental health professionals are here to support you, and help you return to a healthier state of mind.

Located on our hospital campus, the Joint Commission accredited, 28-bed Behavioral Health program is staffed with a team of psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, counselors and therapists ready to diagnose and treat conditions like:

  • Anxiety
  • Bi-polar disorder
  • Depression
  • Eating Disorders, including anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorders
  • Impulsive behaviors
  • Mood or thought disturbances
  • Panic
  • Suicidal thoughts
